A sequel to the original
Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2 takes place in Italy of the 1400's. As you start out, you play as
Desmond Miles, a descendant of Altair and a generation of assassin's.
Lucy Stillman, an employee at Abstergo Industries, escapes with Desmond and convinces him o join with the Assassin's. Desmond agrees to be hooked up to the Animus, a machine which uses DNA to relive someone's past generations. You then play the ancestor of Desmond as Ezio Auditore, who during his journey his family is murdered and he seeks out the men responsible. Along the way you meet others who aid you against the Templars, including Leonardo Da Vinci.

Unlike the first
Assassin's Creed, this game is not so repetitive. Different plots and missions keep you occupied while you still have to assassinate many different people. The game has the same weapons with some new ones as well, such as the pistol and double hidden blade. As you progress through the game, you find and collect
Codex pages which you have Leonardo decode for you. You collect a lot of different things as well in
Assassin's Creed 2.
Assassin Seals are hidden in temples and catacombs which you often fight enemies and complete running courses to achieve. When you collect all six Seals, you unlock Altair's Armor. There are also feathers in the game you collect for a cape, and hieroglyphs which subject 16 has hidden which unlocks a video of Adam and Eve running through a futuristic scene. Overall, this game is more interesting and even better than the first
Assassin's Creed.
(Oh and after you play this game you'll know how to swear in Italian)
